Van Garderen Ranch is Picture Butte's locally owned and operated flour mill, providing fresh stone-milled flour to our Southern Alberta community. Stone-milling is an ancient way of grinding the grain kernels into flour. The process keeps the grain cold. The cool grind preserves the full nutrition and best taste of the flour.

Van Garderen Ranch's mission is to grow and distribute fresh, pesticide-free grains in an ecologically responsible manner year round. We seek to replace imported food products that have negative impacts on the environment.

To be considered organic, food must be grown with non-genetically altered seed, in high quality soil and without any synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. Van Garderen Ranch is committed to following standards that benefit the health of our consumers, the environment and the economy of local communities.
