Milford Farming Co. Ltd. is the farming business of Milford Colony, one of the oldest Hutterite colonies in Alberta, located near the town of Raymond in southern Alberta. According to the Global Anabaptist Mennonite Encyclopedia Online (GAMEO), the colony was founded in 1918 by members of the Milford Bruderhof in South Dakota, led by preachers Johann Kleinsasser and Jerg Waldner, who sold their holdings in the United States and bought the "Big Bend" site. GAMEO also records the colony under the name Milford (Buck Ranch). Milford is a Lehrerleut colony and, over the decades, it has helped start several daughter colonies in Alberta, Montana and Saskatchewan, including Miami, Winnifred, Miltow, Rosetown and Rockglen.
