Plumbing Repairs, Bathroom Renovations & Water Heaters in Renfrew and the Ottawa Valley in Renfrew, Ontario

A new plumbing company for Renfrew County

Its Facebook page puts it simply: Sterling & Lipke Plumbing is "a new company ready to serve the Ottawa Valley and surrounding areas." The business is based in Renfrew, the county seat of Renfrew County, and its logo carries a three-word promise: Qualified. Licensed. Professional. Brandon Sterling is the contact for residential and commercial plumbing services, and the company has already built a following of more than two hundred people on Facebook.

Why a new, local plumber is welcome

Renfrew, Arnprior, Eganville, Pembroke and the farms and villages in between share a common problem: when the water heater fails or a pipe leaks, there are only so many plumbers to call, and the nearest city is a long drive. A plumbing company that is based in Renfrew itself can respond faster and understands the rural realities of the Valley, such as well water, septic systems and older houses with a mix of piping materials.

Services listed

• Plumbing repairs – leaking taps and pipes, faulty fixtures, drain and supply problems
• Hot water tanks and water heaters – replacement and installation when the old tank gives out
• Bathroom renovations and remodeling – new vanities, toilets, showers and tubs, with the plumbing done to code
• Residential and commercial plumbing – services for homes, shops, offices and other buildings

Signs your hot water tank may need replacing

• The tank is more than ten years old
• You see rust-coloured hot water, or moisture around the base
• Strange rumbling or popping noises from the tank
• Not enough hot water, or the water takes longer to heat

Planning a bathroom renovation

Moving a toilet, adding a shower or relocating a vanity changes the drain and supply lines, so it helps to have a plumber involved at the planning stage rather than after the walls are open. Ask about permits, inspection requirements and warranties for the work, and confirm that the plumber is licensed for the work being done.
