Tree Removal, Pruning & Emergency Storm Response in Wadena, Saskatchewan

It is 2 a.m., the wind has been blowing since supper, and there is now a spruce lying across the shed roof. This is the kind of call Tree Days Grace was built for. The Wadena-based company describes itself in a single sentence: more than sixteen years owning and operating a business, plus sixteen years as a utility tree arborist, bringing expertise and professionalism to every job, specializing in tree removal, pruning and emergency services, fully insured and locally owned.

How a storm call usually goes

1. Assess. The first job is safety: where the tree is resting, what it is touching, and whether power lines are involved. Anything near a live line is a matter for the utility first.
2. Plan the lift. If a tree is on a roof or a shed, the weight has to come off in controlled pieces, not all at once.
3. Cut and lift. The business's photos show a white flatbed truck with a knuckle-boom crane lifting a spruce log from beside a shed, which lets sections be lowered gently instead of dropped.
4. Clean up. Branches, logs and debris are cleared from the yard, so the property can be put back in order.

Reaching tall trees

For tall spruces and poplars that cannot be climbed or cut from the ground, the company's photos show a tracked spider lift with a platform basket, a compact machine that can work in a yard, between buildings and on soft ground.
